After the rheum found that our 14 year old still had swelling in his hands she felt that we needed to kick up from Motrin to something stronger. He just started it yesterday, and when he came home from school today he had more energy than I've seen in ages! Is it possible for it to have helped that much that fast? I feel really bad because I've been thinking that his butt dragging was a moody teenage thing. He hasn't been in pain for the last month, just has the residual swelling and fatigue, but he's had the fatigue for a long time. There IS a possibility that the prevacid is interacting with another med he's on and increasing it's effects, but we have cut that med back, so I am thinking it's something more. Any experience with this?
He does have a spot on his leg that we think is psoriasis. He has an appt with the dermatologist to confirm that. If so, they will confirm his dx as Juvenile Psoriatic Arthritis and we will discuss the possibility of something like enbrel or humira. sigh.

| Motrin made my daughter a zombie, so based on our experience, it sounds like his new med agrees with him better. I wouldn't think it is giving him more energy, it just isn't taking away his energy, if that makes sense. I'm glad he is doing better!

Thanks, the time change seems to have taken care of any extra energy he might have had!
