While I have a moment to be fortunate enough for the new pain medication to work, i'll post to you all. My shoulder, rotator cuff is torn. I went in for a few of the tests, but the majority of them will be next Monday. I was tested for thyroid and we are waiting for that one to come fast, because he can feel the goiter. My mom has that same thing....
I can barely stand any touch at all on my left shoulder, elbow, muscles, wrists, even fingers. The pain can be called an easy 8 most of the time, so we went to a different brand of Hydrocodone and did not get the generic, not much difference price wise. He put me on Vicodin HP brand only. I can already tell a huge difference..Funny how some generics don't work well and others do.
Lots of chaos around me. The Kay/Rick situation has come to a crossroads suddenly over some issues most divorced people have at first. I pray for them to work it out because they are good for each other and good together. I have played "guru" for two days and I finally got them together tonight to talk to each other, not through me..I have always been the "go between" in any group or friendships. I am the mediator! PEACE! LOL
Kay has to now carry an epipen because she has had terrible allergies flaring from foods and meds, and we are worried she is getting one of the great "monsters" we all suffer from...She is having things happening way too fast and we all know how we got here. It was like "CLICK" your SICK...
I am reading along with you all each day, and saving my left hand and wrist as much as I can. I am praying for all who are suffering, welcome to all here that are new, much love to the family and my heart is always with you all. I send up prayers everyday..I have to say that I was so excited after having just asked about AIMEE HANEY, to see her posting again...I am sad that others have to miss...
Just wanted to let you all know I am still in there on your side with the Lord and his wisdom and pray for mercy and cleansing daily for us all...
Much love,
BEKAH
Oh and Ken's job ended already today..So off we go in search of more...Please continue to pray for us and all others suffering through these hard times..
TAMMY...LOVE YOU! Glad to hear you are doing okay..

| Bekah - I'm SO very sorry you are suffering so much. You will be held close in my prayers. Make sure you keep the hope (see Pam3's Resilience Quote of the Day). Our faith and that hope is what gets us through. I'll also be praying for Ken to get work again soon. You have way too much on you. Get some rest and take care. Pam

I'm sorry that things are even getting worse for you because they were bad enough before. If you do get a chance to post you might use all caps and only your good hand to bang our a short message occasionally. However, taking care of yourself is your first priority. Prayers are on the way. God bless.

HEY THERE LADY....
LUV YA TOO!
WHO DAT SAY THEY LUV ME...YOU DAT!LOL
Hope your pain eases soon!
Hang in there and I hope hubby finds that wonderful job soon! Let me know if he can get one for me too...I'll need to get my butt to work in a month or so. Don't think I want to go back into the car business though. Maybe my ship will come in and I can rest forever. I certainly feel better not working outside the home. Had one flare since being off all meds for a yr. and a half. Just wish he could send my hubby back and like he was prior to the stroke. Boy I miss him.
Take care!
God Bless all my RA Friends!

Hi Everyone! And thank you all so much for such nice and supportive replies! I am one handing it today to ask a question.
I am wondering if any of you have run fever in your injured joints, as well as a general fever with it? I got a call back from the pcp and I had called to tell her that my shoulder, all the muscles down to my elbow were hot and I was running a lowgrade fever in general. With Lupus, fever of unknown origin is very common, but I haven't had that in a very long time. She told me she wanted me to stay on fluids today and tomorrow, take two pain pills every six to eight hours instead of one and to alternate ice and heat directly on the shoulder for today. Stay in bed a day or two and make sure to break the fever. She claims if there is no swelling, no headache or upset tummy, it is just a common occurence with a rotator cuff injury. However, with such high blood pressure she wants me to do as much fluid as humanly possible and to substitute two "boost drinks" for meals today and tomorrow and call her and let her know if I am better...
I have been bad and used my arm to do some laundry and dishes. I also twisted it a little trying to get up from bed in the middle of the night to go potty in a hurry...LOL
Any other things that I should be doing? Does this sound normal?
Thanks my friends..Love you all so much!

First, thank you all for your prayers and support. It has been much appreciated!
Secondly, my fever is gone finally and the muscle however, feels close to bursting. The bicep is so tightly flexed the pain is a lot worse, but today I have managed with ice pack and pain meds to keep it under control and it feels pretty good right now. I took advantage of this and caught up with posting. Getting tired now so I'll lay down a while..
Looking forward to going to Church in the morning and giving God the praise and glory for the good things that I have and asking him to provide Ken with some much needed "steady and stable" work to get us through. I know he will provide..He's never failed us yet!
Thanks for your love and concern and I am so happy to be a part of your family here...
Love,
BEKAH
